Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a luggage tag?
Yes, attaching a luggage tag to your luggage is a good idea. Having a brightly coloured luggage tag also helps you quickly identify your luggage on the baggage conveyor belt, particularly if there are many suitcases that look similar.
If your baggage does get lost, you can be contacted and reunited with your lost luggage.
If a travel company tag was attached to your luggage and is damaged, having your own robust luggage tag with your contact information serves as a backup.
What information should I put on a luggage tag?
Our luggage tags come with a standard card insert for your name and an address, with a clear plastic cover, which is then covered by a privacy cover flap, to hide your personal details. If you wanted to include different information, you could use and write on the other side of the card insert or print out your own. The dimensions of the card inserts are approximately 7cm x 4.8cm.
Contact information that you could include on the luggage card insert, as well as your name, could include: your phone number (including country code), your email address, and/or your destination address.
Where should I attach a luggage tag?
Luggage tags should be securely attached in a visible place, ideally to a bag handle or strap on the top or side of the bag or suitcase.
Are luggage tags necessary for carry-on baggage?
Although luggage tags may not be required for carry-on baggage, as they stay with you during travelling, it is a good plan to use a luggage tag for these items, in case you accidentally leave them behind and then there is a better chance of you getting them back.
How do you attach our luggage tags to your luggage?
To put our luggage tags on your luggage, undo the buckle of the luggage tag, feed the luggage tag strap under the baggage handle, and then re-buckle the luggage tag.
What types of luggage tags are durable?
Leather, metal and thick silicone make durable luggage tags. Leather luggage tags are sustainable, long-lasting, flexible and soft, whilst wearing well over time and looking smart and stylish.
